The production technology of aluminum sulfate has matured. There are five main methods for the production of aluminum sulfate in China, namely aluminum hydroxide method, bauxite pressure acid dissolution method, aluminum ingot scrap method, kaolin method and alum method. In the aluminum sulfate production process, the bauxite pressure acid dissolution method is the most traditional production method in China, but the quality of the bauxite raw materials is getting worse and worse, the product contains high harmful iron, and a large amount of waste residue is produced in the production process. It is also difficult to handle, especially the concentrated evaporation process needs to consume a lot of energy. The manufacturers through this method are trying to reform the process. Representative enterprises include “Zibo Guangzheng” and “Jiangsu Taicang”. Due to the transformation and upgrading of aluminum salt enterprises, energy saving and emission reduction, and promoting low carbon development, the method of producing aluminum sulfate by using aluminum hydroxide is adopted to prevent the production of waste residue and wastewater discharge, eliminating the need for external heating sources, eliminating sulfur dioxide and carbon dioxide emissions, and improving product quality. Large-scale, automated production, which is the most common, most productive, relatively mature technology in China in recent years.
